Violin/Viola

Anna Clement, a Rochester, New York native has lived and performed in many states throughout the US and has been a public school educator for over ten years. In addition to maintaining a private violin studio throughout her education and professional career she has primarily taught elementary, middle, and high school orchestras throughout the United States. She was director of orchestras in Brockport Central School Districe (New York), assistant director in Klein Independent School District (Spring, Texas) and Katy Independent School District (Katy, Texas), and most recently as director of orchestras for a middle school in Bethel School District (Spanaway, Washington). While at both her assistant teaching placements in Houston, TX the orchestras were consistent UIL Sweepstakes Winners, Honor Orchestra State Finalists, National Honor Orchestra Winners in the Foundation for Music Education Mark for Excellence and were prominently known throughout Texas as premier performing groups. Most notably, in 2019 the Beckendorff Junior High School Honor Orchestra was named the 2019 State Honor Orchestra Winner. Anna graduated from Nazareth College of Rochester in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. In 2015 she completed her Master of Music in Education degree from Indiana University's the Jacobs School of Music where she studied violin with Dr. Brenda Brenner and string pedagogy with Professor Mimi Zweig. While at Indiana University, she taught for the Fairview Violin Project and was an Associate Instructor for the music education department's string methods course.
